Dear Students

I hope your study is going well. On Friday I will be available to run a study class during spell four and five in room B12.

Any year 11 Science students are welcome. it would be best if you came with questions that you would like answered or parts of the course you would like to go over again.

Equations YOU MUST KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two equations that will help you to predict the products formed from equations are below. You must know this in order to write word equations, and then balance them.

ACID + BASE --> METAL SALT + WATER    (Neutralisation reaction)

(Bases can either be Metal Oxides or Metal Hydroxides)
(Acids will either be Sulfuric acid, Hydrochloric acid and Nitric acid)

ACID + CARBONATE --> METAL SALT + WATER + CARBON DIOXIDE

(Evidence of Carbon dioxide, bubbling. Gas can be tested using limewater)
